Graduate Student Options
The University of Chicago, along with the Graduate Student Housing Office, has worked together to
secure apartments
all over Hyde Park in order to provide reasonably-priced housing options for graduate students. Currently, the
University owns 25
buildings which contain 1,100 apartments specifically for graduate students. These apartments come with a number of
layouts that include studios to 3 bedrooms. Here's a bit more information regarding the Neighborhood Student
Apartments:
- All easily accessible to campus by campus buses
- Leases normally run from September to August of the following year, but can easily be cancelled at the end of
the quarter in which you graduate with proper notice
- $150 deposit is required with the application, but will be returned if you are not accepted into a housing
apartment
